Thrills and Chills

             My alarm goes off at seven o'clock in the mourning, as I roll over in my bed to turn it off. Lying there half-asleep I begin to grin as my mom comes in to turn my light on. As she opens the door I can smell the alluring smell of coffee and fresh biscuits. Leaving the room she yells back, "Dallas traffic is not fun in the mourning!" It does not take me long to jump out of my cozy nest and run to the kitchen for breakfast.
             After inhaling two biscuits and a cup of coffee I race to get in the shower first. When I am finished taking my shower I am the first one to get dressed and rush everyone outside to the car. As soon as Dad takes his time we are finally ready to hit the road for about an hour in a half trip. My anticipation begins to rise more and more as we get close to the heart stopping attraction. As we enter the drive-in gate I am so excited I am practically jumping up and down by the time we find a parking spot.
             As we leave our car and head for the front entrance, I am in the lead. With my backpack on and ticket in hand I wait patiently in line. As I give my ticket to the person my eyes begin to light up as I walk into this colorful place. The race is on as I dash to my favorite thing, which stands so high in the air with its wooden frame luring me to ride. As I trudge to the front of the line I frantically try to pick the most invigorating car. Finally I pick the front car and am harnessed in as my nervousness begins to build.
             The ride starts as we begin to climb the first hill. As we reach the top my eyes are wide knowing there is no turning back. We begin to start down the first hill, wind in my face as we race down I feel unstoppable. My speed increases as the momentum gets going. I scream and holler as we twist and turn and go up and down.
