Born in San Antonio as the oldest child then, later experiencing a tragic event and raised as the middle child in Yuma. I had two biological younger sisters, the youngest being a half-sister and two non-biological older brothers. Experiencing my mother's death by homicide made life difficult, even though our aunt and uncle adopted my sisters and me. Growing up in my situation I felt as though I was the black sheep of the family, and that experience made me an extremely independent person.
             Being crammed in the middle, I never felt full support from my siblings because both brothers were elder and moved away shortly after we arrived in the family scene. Both my sisters were similar ages and had an inseparable bond between them. My oldest brother moved away to Phoenix about three years after we moved to Yuma. The other sarcastic brother is whom I looked up to for a few years and currently the closest to of all members. He was an outgoing social person with a great personality, and really enjoyable to be around. Although, his bad decisions and habits kept him from achieving what he is capable of. I was able to see his faults and gains and learn by them. He received the most attention from my parents and when my turn arrived after he moved to Tucson, the restrictions and consequences became stricter. The combinations of my parents aging, their sons maturing and leaving, unannounced they expected satisfaction from my sisters and me.
             After my brothers started life away I had the joy of living with two younger sisters while finishing school. My younger sheltered sisters have always been inseparable. Now being the oldest in the family I must set the typical role model, which turned into a failure because when my turn came to start my life my adopted parents disowned me. I chose to take one year off of school move to San Diego and become a professional athlete traveling the U.S. racing my bicyc
