By definition this form of criticism means, "...a form of therapy which aims to cure mental disorders by investigating the interaction of conscious and unconscious elements in the mind." Using this criticism, one may conclude to what was going on in Shakespeare's life and mind. Therefore, relating the text to his life and having a better understanding of the text is what resulted.
             The Renaissance Period, which lasted about three hundred years, was a period of human curiosity. The period changed man from people of society, to important individuals of society.
