This book was written for those who remain unsure and skeptical about Jesus Christ. In this book, Josh McDowell covers many theories on the resurrection, the reliability of the Bible records, and the messianic prophecies. Faith is a matter of believing in and trusting in the facts presented. In this book, Josh presents a series of facts of Jesus and tries to uncover the truth. He is not trying to prove anything to his readers. He has simply presented the facts allowing the reader to decide on what to believe is true. Before writing this book, Josh was an atheist that argued against Christian faith. Finally he realized that his arguments could not stand up, as stated on the back of the book. He eventually converted to Christianity, began speaking and challenging other skeptics as he had previously been.
             This book is very well written. Josh is very descriptive and has included many other theories in the book. I think that including other ideas and then giving reasons why it couldn't be possible helps in getting his point across. He begins in Chapter 1 by explaining why Jesus is so different. He claimed to be God. Explaining that at the beginning lets the reader know why Jesus is so despised by those that are skeptical and those that do not believe.
             In Chapter 2: Lord, Liar, or Lunatic? Josh argues why Jesus could not have been a liar or lunatic, leaving only one explanation; Jesus was who he said he was. I totally agree with Josh that Jesus could not have been a liar. Had Jesus been lying, I believe that near the end he would have admitted it to try to get himself out of that terrible destiny. He could not do that. It was his destiny. The crucifixion had to take place. It was our last chance of being able to have a relationship with God and receiving salvation. Jesus knew this. He knew what had to be done. If he had been lying, he could not have endured
