People in today's society do immoral actions to innocent people, and in some situations immoral actions are put on the accused "innocent people". A person such as Timothy McVeigh is not one of the innocent criminals. McVeigh exploded the Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 men, women, and children, and injured 500 others. However, in a fiction movie "The Green Mile" a man was accused and was given the death penalty for rape and murdering two little girls. In fact, this man didn't do these crimes. The consequence of a guilty man's action is death but that is also an innocent man's consequence.
             Yes, McVeigh is guilty. We as Americans know that murder is wrong, in or out of anger. "No good lesson is learned when the government makes murder a penalty for murder", said DeWayne Wickham. Capital punishment is the barbaric response of a civilized society to its most gruesome crimes. How is the government going to tell people that murder, the killing of a person is wrong, but murder is not wrong when the government acts on those actions themselves? The government cannot say "murder is ok when the government commits it" No! And they can't say that they are doing right by the people. For instance, an individual's brother is the victim of murder. The outraged individual murders the killer. What's the difference? The brother was doing right.
             Murder is not right; it is torment for an individual. Last year, executioners in Florida took 33 minutes to find a suitable vein to give a condemned man a lethal injection. Or in Texas an inmate didn't die until 24 minutes after receiving a lethal injection. Two minutes after the needle was inserted in the inmates arm, it popped out, spraying the deadly drug across the room.
