             Obesity has become one of the major concerns in many people. Obesity has gotten worse over the years. Obesity is being seen as problem of a certain society among many people. We are placing more emphasis on the education of how to reduce obesity through food rather than on physical activity.
             Questions are being raised on how the symbolism of fatness and thinness in ones society and the relationship one have with other symbols and other values. With this question pondering out there, the conflict of values with fatness and thinness are brought onto us by the rapidly changing of our society. This means that with the new traditions are being placed besides the old traditions about obesity.
             The food relationship with people also has a big impact of obesity in the society. Food is considered to be the center of a complex value system. This allows people to express how they feel through what they eat and when they eat it. People tend to consume food in religious aspects, rituals, social organizations, and group related functions.
             Religious acts are probably the most important events that most people eat a lot of food at. I mean you see that when a child is born food is involved, a baptism, wedding, or a death, etc. People tend to show their respect through food at these types of events. People tend to have a lot of food at a funeral reception because it plays a role in relationship with dead ancestors and god. When food is being offered to the ancestors or gods, it is said that they will grant the request of the living and protect them from sickness and other misfortunes. It is said that the gods or ancestors eat the food with the same etiquette as the living.
             As the birth of a child is important so is the nutrition of that. Society says that it is common for a child to be nursed at his mother's breast for several years. This means that a new born is less likely to be obese because of the nutr
