lthood. Proving to myself that I can do this will make my birthday more meaningful to me and show me how I can make improvements toward proactivity during this next stage of my life.
Identifying obstacles to overcome is the third step to goal setting. This will not be easy, being that I have a few obstacles I will have to overcome in the 6 weeks of the project. Motivation is going to be key to my mental ability to accomplish this goal. When everyone else is watching TV in the afternoons and evening and I still haven't gotten my run in for the day as I planned, I still have to go out and push myself to do it. Inclement weather is something I can not control. On days when it is rainy, cold or snowing, I will have to use my willpower to running inside at the gym, if I do not wish to run outside. I see myself as proactive, so these will not control me, but they are possible obstacles. Procrastination is also going to be an obstacle. I will have to manage my time in a way where I won't want to put it off, but do it during my first free time of my day.
