Some people may be shocked by the amount of case but wait until they hear how many patients who actually die in America each year. An average of 157,000 Americans die each year from lung cancer. This year's early estimates say that about 156,900 will die of those 89,700 of them are men and 67,600 of them are women (Cancer Organization).
