I decided to attend college because I wanted to further my education and because if I
             stayed in Suffolk I would have gotten involved in the wrong lifestyle. At home many people
             don't go to college after high school and make their money by selling drugs and for a while, that
             kind of life appealed to me and I put school on hold and decide I wanted to make fast money
             too. After a while I came to the conclusion that that wasn't the life for me.
             It was an ambition of mine to attend college, but it was also expected of me. I was
             brought up by my family thinking that college was the only thing to do after high school, so all
             through my childhood I was looking forward to college. In high school, I stopped caring about
             school and my grades and attendance stated to suffer. One day a close friend of the family
             asked me what I was going to do after college and I couldn't answer the question, after that I
             decided to try harder in school so I could go to college.
             My goals for this school year are simple, I just want to get as much out of all of my
             classes as I possibly can. I also need to learn how to be an adult. Although I lived with my
             family and they all love me, I always did things for myself, but any time I got in trouble it would
             be as a minor, now I have to accept adult responsibilities.
             In five years I see myself fresh out of college working for some company trying to work
             my way to the top eventually owning my own business trying to give back to my family.
