g that moveth upon the earth" and see this as God giving Man complete power over all of the earth. This would give permission for such things as animal experimentation and basically any use of an animal that Man saw fit for his/her own needs.
             What if God sees the whole world, not just humans, as being "good" and valuable to Him? Would God be against animal experimentation if this were true? These questions are asked by several modern biblical scholars who disagree with the more common previously mentioned view. Linzey presents an argument based on scripture, and other scholars work that lead to the conclusion that animal experimentation is not only wrong, but also an insult to the Creator, Himself.
             Linzey begins his article by establishing that God created the world, thus it has intrinsic value. He states that "it is important to see how it is that the affirmation of the intrinsic value of the world is inseparable from the Christian doctrine of God" (pg. 115). He continues to build his case to show that the world is seen as "good" by God by discussing the importance and significance of God's incarnation in this world. By choosing this world as the medium for his self-revelation it "must therefore imply that the world is acceptable and valuable to Him" (pg. 118).
             Continuing in his argument, Linzey now discusses the possibility of God reconciling all of creation. "The striking point here is that the act of reconciliation must, logically, include all that is fallen, all that was previously unreconciled" (pg. 119) states Linzey. This brings up the question of whether animals actually need to be reconciled. Most Christians believe that animals are not capable of sin, as are humans.
