Into the woods is about different fairy tales that are brought together in a mystical, very intriguing fashion. There are several fairy tales that are intertwined to come together and create one big fairy tale. Each play crosses the other plays paths influencing each other's lives.
             The play includes Repunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, and Little Red Riding Hood. In Act II, with great deepness and intuition into human nature, we see what happens after "they all lived happily ever after." We see that getting what you wish for -- marrying a prince, having a child, killing a giant -- isn't always what it's cracked up to be. We see that our actions have consequences, but that action must be taken: You can't choose not to decide. We all have to go "into the woods" and face our fears every now and then.
             In conclusion, the remaining characters now understand that even their fairy tale lives must face reality. We all have to go into the woods per say to get what we want. What finally get what we wish for might now actually be what we want in the end.
