The enemy- book report

             "The Enemy" tells us about a Russian scientist that was brought to England in order to reveal Russia's nuclear secrets. One day, years after he was brought to England, George Ashton disappeared leaving no trace. I decided to change the plot a bit and to add a letter that was written by him to his daughters. In this letter he tells them about his mysterious past and life.
             I decided to write this letter because I'm not so sure of my returning from the place I'm going to. I am asking you to read this letter carefully and to destroy it right after you finish.
             My real name is Aleksandr Chelyuskin and I was born in Russia, near Novgorod, in 1919. At the age of 12 I was sent to a special school in Moscow where I learned Mathematics and Physics. I joined the Russian army at 1939 as a scientist. At that time I helped improving Russian weapons during the war. After the Americans developed an atomic bomb I was told to do the same and make one for Russia. I felt that I became a weapon designer instead of a scientist and I certainly didn't like it! So I made up my mind about that and decided that I want to live in a democratic country as a simple citizen and in order to do that I faked my death in a huge fire in my laboratory. Two weeks later I was on a train on my way to London. When I arrived I found out that the English government had a special interest in my previous work in Russia. Since I decided to leave my past behind me, I left London and moved to a small village in the countryside. For my own protection I have been given a new identity; I became George Ashton, a small businessman that came to the village in order to find new investments. After a while I started a small business with a friend I met in London called John Franklin. Our business went well and became very successful. At that time I started dating john's daughter Mary.
