First Knight Composition
             'To live one's life so that it is worthy of respect and honor', is what the code of chivalry meant to King Arthur of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table. They knew to never attack unless both sides were prepared, or to torture and attack from behind, for that was considered unfair and breaking the code of chivalry. They knew that this code meant they must be noble, obey the laws, protect their people, and administer justice. Being in this high class of nobility they were to have valor, produce courage in word and deed, and fight with honor. In addition they did of course carry themselves respectively with manners and were polite and attentive to all that was going on in Camelot. Lastly, these men held their loyalty to God, sovereign, Country, and to abide by the laws of the code of chivalry. In doing this they demonstrated what they found the code to mean and as Arthur told Lancelot, " In serving each other, we become free," was what the code of chivalry provided!
             An example of someone that witnesses the virtues of this chivalric idea would definitely have to be policemen. These brave people, men and women both, nowadays, as compared to just men back when King Arthur ruled, put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve their community. For example, they may go into a bank that has been robbed, knowing the robber is armed and dangerous, trying to compromise with the bad guy and try to save all the hostages he may be keeping. He knows that in serving others, he could put his life in jeopardy. The policemen are those that run down the bad guys who deal drugs, corrupt our society, and are violent towards others. Courage and dignity are two keys to lead these men through there days. These men serve to keep justice and peace for everyone in the community and that is why they are examples of today's people that abide b
