Hank Aaron

             "Hank" Henry Aaron is an African-American from Mobile, Alabama. He was born in a part of the town called "Down by the Bay," a poor black area of the town. Soon after he was born he moved to a part of the town called "Toulminville" where he lived most of his childhood years (Henry Aaron #1).
             When he was a child and late teenager, he had many heroes. Many of them were Joe DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson, and Stan Musial, all three of them were baseball players. His like for Jackie Robinson natural sine he was the first black man to play on a major league baseball team (Henry Aaron #1).
             His first baseball team was for the Toulminville Grammar School in the Louisiana Rec League, it was a Negro league. He was by far the best player on the team, but he had a different way of hitting. He broke one of the rules of hitting; he hit cross-handed. That means that he hit with his left hand over his right when normally he should hit with his right over his left. That should have cut his hitting power down to basically nothing, and it would have been vary easy to break a wrist. He still hit the ball hard enough to hit over a .700 (that's hitting 70% of the time) all the way through grammar school and all through high school. He broke another cardinal rule of hitting. He hit off of his front foot instead of his back foot (you get all your power from your back foot). He never changed his batting stance, because no coach ever dared to change anything to make him lose all of his hitting power. If a coach would have changed hit stance there would have been a good chan!
