7. I myself say that respect and honor for parent's are more important than individual freedom. Our parents will not be with us after we get married or after we decide to move to another town because of a career move. We will always have that respect and honor for them no matter where we are in this world. Even after they pass. Individual freedom can be good, also when we have it out parents will reflect on our actions and thoughts throughout life. And weather they are good or bad, i would have to give them the respect and honor.
8. Now what individual freedom is trying to relate to me is that even though we are independent to an aspect of supporting ourselves and not living at home, that really doesn't really mean we have the total individual freedom. Our parents still have that influence through us that helps us out in life. We will share our parents values which doesn't mean we are self driven through autonomy. Being separated from family to find our self identity isn't something done once and for all. It is a part of life that is continued throughout life.
