Emily dickinson

             A great American author, Emily Dickinson, was in fact a great American author because of her poems, her life, and her audience. She was known for her great writng. She had a very unique life and is known even now after so many years.
             The writings of Emily Dickinson show an inner sense of heartache, love and nature. Most of her work came from within herself about being heartbroken. Her poems were her "letters to the world" –Emily Dickinson. Some her works included: Heart! We Will Forget Him,( about wanting to forget a loved one, but can't) If You Were Coming in the Fall,( someone coming and not knowing what to do). There are a lot more of Emily Dickinson's poems to be read. It was said that after her death Emily's sister had found a box containing 2,000 poems all written by her sister Emily. They would be later published in 1955. Emily Dickinson was very unique in hr writing. She had formed her poems into small booklets. She used poetic forms to somewhat simultaneously reveal and conceal her feelings. She was always looking for the right word or phrase to use in order keep the picture instilled in the minds of the reader. She used nature as a form to help with the metaphors used in her poems. Her work has been used for many subjects for schools in plays, books, t.v., and radio programs.              Emily Dickinson was born Emily Elizabeth Dickinson, in Amherst, Massachusetts, to father Edward, who was a lawyer, and mother Emily Norcross. Most of her life read like a plot in big story. She was born into a religious New England Family whom she'd later disregard whenever it came to religion.
