roots

Roots was a movie that showed America what the slaves went through in their lives. In Roots 3 Kunta Kinte or Tobi was now a grown slave. In this part he still has not forgotten about his home land of Africa. He then runs away again to find his love, Fanta, in another plantation. He goes there to find out that she doesn't want to run away and that she forgot about Africa. Then while they are argueing slave catchers hear them and catch Kunta. They then give him a choice of chopping off his man hood or his toes. He picked his toes and they chopped them off. When Kunta returns to the plantation there is a new master and when he is recovering he meets a nurse. She helps him walk again and they soon fall in love. They get married and have a child. Kunta was going to run away with a runaway slave that he met. The only thing that keeps him from running is his family. He then tells his child about Africa and he also gave he the name Kizzy. The name meant to stay put but Kunta also said!
that you don't have to like the place.
I think that you showed us this movie because you wanted to show us how the slaves were treated. You also wanted to show us that some slaves did not run away because of their families. They did not want to leave them behind. Although that didn't stop some of them from running. They cared about each other and they did not leave anyone behind.
