Justice

One of the biggest examples of prayer at our school is the prayers at school meeting. Everyday at school meeting, a prayer is said by one of the sacristans. These prayers vary from time to time. Some of them reflect on people who need help in making decisions, in regular life, and in the long term. Other prayers focus on people's gals for the day, at school, and short term goals of this sort. These prayers do not really focus on justice at our school. A prayer that focuses on justice would contain examples of making our school a just and merciful school. The prayers we hear contain stories of Jesus or his disciples. The closes to justice these stories get is examples of how the people we hear about in the stories handle situations that concern justice. People can use that as an example of what they would do in a similar situation. Other than this, justice is not a main concern in the prayers we hear in school meeting every day.

             B. When at school, people seem to stick to one group of people almost off instinct. This is normal at any school with the amount of diversity at this school. Some groups mix well with each other and may have the same interests. These groups have no problems interacting with each other. Other groups who are contestants in the power struggle in the school do not mix well with each other. An example at our school is the hockey team trying to control the school as well as the football team or the basketball team. While these groups try to stay away from each other, I try to stay away from them when they act in a manner that threatens the well-being of the school. Even though I am part of both the football team group and the basketball team and I cannot avoid interacting with them, I try to not take the control of the school to another extent as they do while hurting each other and the school.
