The Island of the Blue Dolphins

             Bravery is reflected by having to face that Karana is by herself and also that she has to
             fight away all the bad things that come after her like the wild dogs that are her enimy. Karana
             faced many challenges while she was alone on the island, she walked alone every day and night
             watching everything that was near, Karana also fought for her food by hunting animals and fish.
             She became friends with the animals but one particular animal was her favorite whose
             name is Rontu. Rontu is one of the wild dogs that she tamed to be her friend. Karana is brave
             because she faced what most people would go crazy over and I admire her ability to do so.
             An example of Karanas bravery is that she made a spear that stood beside her and if
             anything came ten paces from her or one movement then she would pick up the spear and throw
             it. Also she made two more spears from the points and was ready to go into the cave of the wild
             Karana stored her weapons in the place beneath the headland so if the hunters returned
             she would be ready to go to another part of the island to move from cave to cave, living in a
             canoe if necessary. Karana had the guts to do anything and everything and that is how she
             survived until her fellow Indians came back for her.
             Loneliness is reflected by when karans was left on the island all by herself and she had no
             where to go or no one to talk to. She had to fight for herself and deal with the fact that she was
             alone and had to wait until someone would come back for her. Karana did that by building a
             house out of old bones and whale skin. She also made friends with Rontu, the wild dog.
             Karana was very lonely at first for the simple fact that she had no one. She would go back
             to the campground where she once lived and would sit up on the rock every night waiting for
             someone to find her so she could return to her family. When the years passed
