uper Bowl victories in those 8 years with coach John Madden (Fleischer121). This is why The Oakland Raiders are the team that could of dominated the 70's.
Another team that really showed some domination in the 70's was the Baltimore Colts, they had 3 super bowl victories in the 70's (Fleischer137). This team won back to back Super Bowls in 1972 and 1973 (Fleischer137), but really dropped in 1974 they finished that year with a 2-12 record, 2 wins 12 loses (Fleischer135). In 1975 Ted Marchibroda took over as the new head coach of the Baltimore Colts (Fleischer135). Ted Marchibroda took over a team that had 20 players who were either rookies or second year men; in fact 90 percent of his team had never been in a game of this importance (Fleischer137).
