OBJECTIVE: The objective of this speech is for each listener to be entertained, while at a poetry club.
             AUIDENCE: Setting, The Santuary (a poetry club down town Chicago, IL) the audience ranges from age 21 to late 30s, there are an equal amount of women and men. Most of the audience has had some college. Most of the audience is from Chicago. They are open and eager to hear me speak. They came to the club to hear poetry.
             1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: What's up Santuary, I'm Nina Mosely, and I want to welcome you all to freestyle Friday here at the Santuary. Everybody looks great! Looks like we have a full house tonight. Every 1st Friday at the Santuary we honor tight poets. The poet we're honoring tonight is different from the rest. All our other honorary poets are veterans to the mic. This one is special she's an amateur coming all the way from our nations capital, Washington, D.C. She goes by the name of BLACK OPAL. Let me take a minute and break down here name for ya'll. The world is diluted and polluted by greed, lies, and anger thus becoming BLACK. Her skin is also categories as BLACK. An OPAL is a mineral with iridescent colors that man sculpts into a gem. The OPAL comes from GOD'S green earth. She is both these things, a GEM and from GOD. Even though the earth is black the opal's iridescent colors shine through. And for these reasons she is BLACK OPAL.
