Therapists conclude that if a person has almost all of these characteristics, then you could properly diagnose a borderline personality disorder. These traits, however, must have existed for a long time and be persistent. People with bpd also have other concerns such as depression, eating disorder, and substance abuse.
             In most cases, borderline personality disorder has been difficult to diagnose. One of the reasons is the fact that it shares many characteristics with many other mental disorders.
