could be argued that he did this on purpose to entice his readers. Let them think about the
instance for a minute and then let the fact that he was an honest man and writer set in.
Make the story more interesting? If someone wanted to lie, the liar would have removed
all of the little things. John Smith did not. As i said earlier, John Smith had no reason to
lie. He was a man of honesty and that is what he prided himself in. He had no one to lie
to. He only spoke the truth of his journeys and so forth.
