Since the early development of society in the United States, racism has always been a divisive issue faced by communities on a political level. Our country was built from the immigration of people from an international array of backgrounds. However, multitudes of white supremacists blame their personal as well as economic misfortunes on an abundance of ethnic groups. African-Americans, Jews and Catholics are only some of the of groups tormented by these white supremacists.
             As the amount of ethnic diversity gradually increased in the political systems of Louisiana and the United States, organizations rapidly formed to challenge the new ethnic variation in government. The Ku Klux Klan is one of these groups that were formed by people who were angered by the increase of diversity in political office and in the workplace. But even as we move further back into history racism has flared up in many different countries, not just our own. We see in our history book stories of hatred towards human beings due to the nation they originated from, or even the choice of religion and name.
             We take a brief look at the early colonial days and title the situation as we see it. Imagine standing in the center of town, life buzzing all around you, the baker selling his bread, and the fisher selling his daily catch, the women gossiping and the children playing with dolls and pretending sticks are guns. We begin to hear bells coming from behind, it is the town council men, they are pulling with them a young woman dressed in blue. They drag her to the town center and up to a large contraption, this "machine" is meant from taking ones life, for taking the breathe of life from someone's body. The leader takes his place and pulls out a scroll and reads. He says that the woman has been charged with blasphemy, in other words she is a "witch", and not just that, but is also charged with casting a spell on her fiancée'. They claim the...
