             Journal Response: Louisa, Please Come Home
             1. While Louisa was living at home it seems as if she was hardly recognized by her family. She didn't fell free when she was with her family. While living with Mrs. Peacock she was free and on her own. She had her own job and was supporting herself. For the first time she was on her own and didn't have to worry about living up to her parents expectations.
             2. Louisa's relationship with Mrs. Peacock is great. They're just like mother and daughter, but with a great deal of freedom. They always sit down and have coffee together and watch TV. I think it's great that Louisa found Mrs. Peacock. She needed someone like Mrs. Peacock in her life. Someone she could talk with and do things she couldn't do with her real mother.
             3. I think Louisa is very independent. She was sick of living by her parent's standards and doing what they wanted her to do. For example when she buys the raincoat and she says that her mother would've fainted dead away if she saw her wearing that. It just shows that she didn't really have any freedom at all while living with her family. Now since she's on her own, she's doing what she wants to do.
             4. I feel that Paul is a very evil character. He does everything for his own benefit. Apparently he had brought many girls to the Tether's house claiming to be Louisa just so he could get the cash reward.
             5. I think that Louisa's family doesn't want to recognize her. I feel that they wouldn't know what to do if they found her. After being separated for three years, they wouldn't know what to say or how to act around her.
             6. The first family member to see her is Carol. She kind of just looks at Louisa and backs away from her. After Carol backs away Louisa's mother and father are standing there. Her mother started crying and put her hands on Louisa's cheeks. She ...
