Too many children these days are becoming sexxually active at a very young age. It seems like schools are relying on parents to teach it to the kids. Parents are relying on the schools to teach it. There has to be a happy medium somewhere.
             With society becoming what it is today. Some children are sexually active by the time they hit fourth grade. There have been "Rainbow Parties" going around in high school, but just a couple of years ago they had been reported in junior high. Then last year there was a couple reported in, as low as, fourth grade. From what I understood from the news, "Rainbow Parties," are a group of girls and a couple of boys getting together. Each girl puts on a different shade of lipstick, and "goes down" on the boys. By the time every girl "goes down" on each of the boys, it makes the boys' penises look like a rainbow from all the different colors of lipstick.
             School officials believe it should be the parents job to teach children about sex education. Some of the parents think it is the schools job. Who's job is it? I believe it is both the parents and the schools job. Either way I believe it should be taught earlier. There are some parents out there that think that is what school is for; to teach them about morals, respect, discipline, and everything else. Those parents believe that they brought the kids into this world, now it is somebody else's job to teach them. That is what they pay taxes for, to pay the teachers to teach the children. All in all the children are the ones suffering. What happens when they hit puberty and they have no one to talk to, because the parents obviously don't care, and they are too embarrassed to talk to the teachers about it.
             In my opinion it should be both the schools and the parents job in teaching about sex education. If everybody could just come together to happy medium about teaching sex education. Maybe there wouldn't be as many teenage pregancies, te...
