Not having visitation is a problem at Claflin University. Getting privacy is a big issue. It is hard for students to have privacy if other people are sitting there staring at you while you are in the lobby. Some days you are able to go outside, but it is raining, to hot, or to cold to be outside. If you do choose to go outside there is limited space, plus males have to be off campus at 12 o'clock. If the couple is to sit down while outside it will have to be on cement steps or benches, this usually leads to a case of hemroids. If the couple decides to stay inside of the lobby, it usually gets bored because there are no televisions or radios in the lobby.
             Since Claflin does not have visitation, guys and girls take it upon themselves to sneak inside each other room for privacy. If caught they may lose their privilege to stay on campus, or even be expelled from Claflin University. There have been some cases where the dorm director of High Rise Dormitory has called security because groups of guys have tried to sneak into the dorm at night. The group of guys figured that they had a better chance of getting away if they went over there as a group since there is only security guard. Sometimes the strategy worked.
             One way by solving these problems is by giving the students some sort of visitation rights. Students should be able to sign in at the front desk of the dorm, and leave some sort of picture identification with the dorm director.
