Nortel Networks, formerly known as Northern Telecom, is a worldwide provider of
several different networking solutions. They also provide services that help create a faster
and more efficient Internet. Nortel helps support public and private data, voice networks,
video networks using both wireless and landline technology. Nortel is active in all aspects of
networking services and solutions, which includes design, development, assembly financing,
licensing, sale, and marketing. Nortel also plays a part in optical networks, access and core
networks, and wireless networks. Nortel is a globally established company. It has offices in Canada, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, South America, and Asia.
John Roth: Mr. Roth is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Nortel. He has been C.E.O. since March of 2000. He was Chief Operating Officer and President of Nortel North America prior to his promotion to President and C.E.O.
Lynton R. Wilson: Mr. Wilson was just recently appointed to Chairman of the Board. He has been a director of Nortel since early April 1991. Before coming to Nortel Mr. Wilson was Chairman of the Board of BCE Inc., another telecommunications company. He is also a director for DaimlerChrysler AG, Imperial Oil Limited, and Ontario Power Generation Inc.
Frank A. Dunn: Frank Dunn is the Chief Financial Officer of Nortel. He has held this position since March of 2000. Since 1996 Mr. Dunn has held several different vice president positions including; operations, finance, and planning.
Frank W. Conner: Frank Conner is the president of enterprise solutions for Nortel. Mr. Conner played a pivotal role in the negotiations for the Nortel/Bay Networks merger.
