             Is it really possible for people that believe in different things to be exact opposites? Many different people have many unlike characteristics about themselves but still live in the same way as we all do. The differences between the whites and the Native Americans far exceed having the same of mostly anything. Our lives our built on separate beliefs and morals. The only thing that could characterize us as the same is that we are human.
             In the white mans world skyscrapers and newly paved sidewalks make us happy. We take pleasure in robbing wild animals from their homes. We cage them up in small imitation habitats and watch as they try to adjust. We pollute the air and lands in order fulfill our needs. The land has no value to us unless it is being used to make some kind of a commission. To Native Americans beauty has a quite different meaning then to the white people. Native Americans believe the stillness of the forest covered in snow is an awesome sight. The Native Americans believe that all animals should be free. They never abuse them or use them for anything but for their bare needs. Beauty comes from what was given to the Native Americans from their God's. They do not rob the land of its beauty. They do not alter and pollute the air in order to suite their needs. What surrounds the Native American people is perfect to them.
             We live in materialistic relationships. In order to please each other we feel we must out give each other. The thought of giving is not as important as the price of what you are giving. In our society holidays and birthdays loose their value. We want all of the newest and expensive gizmos and gadgets. To us all of these possessions equal status and rank. A present or gift is only good and important until the next one is received. Native Americans are happy with what they can give. Even if a gift is not luxurious and expensive it is still a gift.
