Commandments

             The 10 commandments are special written guidelines set out for the good of the Catholic faith and mankind. They are almost a set of rules for the average Christian obey and follow. Moses acted as God's messenger to bring the message of peace and to give the people a set of morals to live by. To stop any chance of anarchy or mayhem, these commandments allow the people to live in a peaceful and serene environment. These commandments are also known as the "Decalogue" which derives from the Greeks which means two words. The 10 commandments appear twice in the Bible, in Exodus, chapter 20 and in Deuteronomy, chapter 5, but are well laid down in Exodus 34:28.
             The most important commandment to me is "Honor thy father and thy mother" which to me is very intricate to a content life. I feel that our parents brought us into the world and they deserve the utmost respect. The parents around the world have sacrificed many things to ensure the bliss of their children.
             These commandments are viewed as two different groups of rules separated by the intent. Some deal with the relationship between God and his people, and the rest deal with the relationships among people. The 10 Commandments are important for both Judaism and Christianity. The 10 Commandments is a list of rules for living and worship that, according to the Bible, God wrote and gave to Moses on Mount Sinai.
