             We can see the cause and effect here. A housing problem causes students to work for money and so they have less time for classes so they take fewer classes at one time and prolong their studies further. This prolonging of time spent at the University or Fachhochschulen only adds to an even bigger problem of overcrowding in schools. Something that could help ease this problem would be for schools to establish part time study. That way these students could study at certain times of the day for less time and lessen the burden of full time enrollment and help ease the overcrowded classrooms (Lingens 63)
             Some students who have to pay to live in residence halls are able to qualify for financial assistance under the Federal Training Assistance Act (or BafoG) which is administered by the Student
