t Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua is receiving approximately 60,000 migrants each year. Most migrants arrive with the hope of finding higher paying jobs. These low income/no income migrants are usually destined to live in tiny makeshift homes that receive no running water, electricity or sewage systems. These living conditions quickly become areas of cholera outbreaks and other diseases.
             Mexico's population was estimated in July of 2000 to be 100,349,766. About 73.5 percent of the population lives in urban areas and 26.5 percent live in towns with less than 2,500 inhabitants1. The largest cities in Mexico include Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Puebla. These cities alone account for approximately 27 percent of the total population.2
             The majority of the population believes in the Roman Catholic Church, which represents 89% of the total population. The remaining 6% of the population makes up Protestant beliefs and 5% believe in other religions.1
