"Federalist Papers #6 and #10"

            Freedom isn't free at all. Many men and women have struggled and even died so that we could be free. The birth of this relatively young country was pushed through by many great architects; we call these men the "Founding Fathers". Men like George Washington, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson made many strides for a country still searching for an identity. These well known men will forever be etched into every person who has taken an elementary school history class. These men might not be as well known if it wasn't for the likes of James Madison and Alexander Hamilton who helped push for a new constitution and a new way of governing. They looked for ways to make this country better and stronger. Both men, Hamilton in particular, were worried that America might not be able to last long enough to be a legitimate nation. These two might not get as much face time as Washington or Franklin, but they played a vital role pointing out what was wrong and how to fix it. In this essay, I plan to discuss Hamilton's paper number six and Madison's paper number ten while comparing and contrasting the key arguments in both.
             One of the sharp contrasts between the two papers is in the way that both men approached the writing of their respective papers. The way Alexander Hamilton approached his writings in the "Federalist Papers" were the complete opposite of James Madison's approach. Hamilton used his writings as almost propaganda for his cause and continually pulled examples out of history to prove his points. Madison was more scientific and thorough in his writings. He read numerous articles and books and then pulled out the information he needed to make his points more poignant. This leads me to the papers themselves.
