The king then asked the wise sage, "what shall I do to make my son happy?" "Now your son is seventeen years old. Shall we get a beautiful girl for him to marry?" the sage's replied. Suddhodana agreed on what the sage suggested and got Siddhartha married to Yasodhara who was the most charming and kind girl in the country. After what he had done for the prince the king was satisfied that his son would follow his footsteps and become a king later.
