Name: The name of my disease is Parkinson's Disease. It's named after the English doctor James Parkinson. He first discovered the disease in 1817. Parkinson's Disease is a disorder of the brain, which produces shaking, difficulty walking, movement, and coordination. Other names for Parkinson's Disease are paralysis agitons or shaking palsy. Parkinson's Disease effects both male and female ages 50-70.

Without dopamine nerve cells can't function properly or transmit messages, which results in loss of muscle function. Researchers don't know what causes the

Prevention: Deprenyl, if you begin early enough, can help to slow the progression of the disease. "Antioxidants, such as vitamin E and selenium mayalso help in the avoidance of Parkinson's Disease. If environmental toxins are also a cause it would most likely be helpful to stay away from them.

More symptoms are loss of balance, slow movement, muscle aches, and shaking. Thereare also changes in your facial expressions and you voice and speech.
