             The reader can observe that Hamlet yearns for a constant source to express himself to. It is evident that he may be lacking this source. Hamlets mother no longer nurtures his thoughts, and Hamlet knows better than to always trust Ophelia
             Throughout the play Shakespeare has Hamlet act as if he were insane. This may have been done to emphasize the fact that Hamlet scarcely expresses his true self. Again the reader is able to see that Hamlet drops the act of being insane, his false face, to talk to a friend. "I am but mad north-north-west. When the wind is southerly I know a hawk from a Handsaw"(p.79). Hamlet convinces the whole world including those that know him best, his friends, that he has gone mad. However he confides in his friend Guildenstern that he is merely putting on an act.
