After graduation he went over to England and was a visiting lecturer on the subject of anthropology at Cambridge University. He also won a scholarship and got to travel to Europe and North Africa for a year.
             After a year of traveling abroad, Michael decided to return to Harvard to get a degree in medicine. At first there was a problem as to how he was going to pay for the expensive medical school because his other three siblings were also in college at that time and his parents could not afford his tuition at that time. He decided to give writing another shot. He was particularly fond of the 007 series and other like spy-thrillers and as a result, he primarily wrote such mystery and spy novels.
