A cult refers to worship or a particular form of worship. They are viewed as dangerous, authoritarian groups. When a cult has become established it forms into a church. The cult is then an ideological organization held together by charismatic relationships and demands total commitment. The groups are at high risk for abuse and they pride on psychological manipulation. More recently cults have been seen as Identity churches, because of the neglect people show cults.
There are various teachings with different Identity churches. Some teachings advocate separation of all races, while others advocate for the extermination of all non-whites. However, all Identity churches have the same basic theme, which is to purify the white race. There are two basic theological paths in Identity. The recruitment of new members in Identity churches has increased over the past several years. The increase is due to the individual not being told the whole story, when being recruited.
