Lazybones means a kind of person who is really lazy and negligent. The first time I really learned about lazybones is when I started sharing a room with somebody. My roommate was a real lazybones. First, she always made our room so messy but she rarely cleaned it. For example: after she changed her clothes which included her underwear and socks, she just threw all them on the floor. She did the same thing every day, the floor was covered by all her dirty clothes, so that we walked on them at the end of the week. She also put all her study stuff, shoes, and make up things on the floor. So I always needed to be very careful, otherwise the stuff might hurt me or make me fall down. If I didn't ask her to clean our room and put all her possessions away, maybe our room would be messy the whole month or longer. She didn't care or feel bad when she lived in the messy environment like this. Second, she was also a real lazybones in her daily life. One time, she left all her clothes in the laundry room for three days. She even picked one or two of them from the laundry room when she needed to wear them, but she was too lazy to take all of them back and fold them. What's more, one day she surprised me that she was too lazy to get food for herself when we had lunch together in the school's cafeteria. She told us she wanted salad, pizza and orange juice, but she was too lazy to go get them. She even asked us who would like to help get food for her. Certainly, all of us shook our heads no. That's her, a real lazybones. I think she could be the standard or symbol of lazybones.
