Frida Kahlo

             Frida Kahlo was born on July 6th, 1907. She was an important figure in Mexico because many people admired her and grieved toward her when she died. She only lived for 47 years but in that short lifetime she completed more than a normal human could accomplish in an expanded lifetime. Frida was involved in a streetcar accident at the age of eighteen. She broke most of the bones in her body and had to be in a body cast for a month. She had over 30 surgeries to miraculously recover and walk again from her accident. But the accident caused a huge loss when her husband, Diego Rivera and her tried to conceive children. She miscarried many times and a lot of her art revolved around not being able to have children. Diego and Frida were married for eleven years even though they divorced for a year. She painted over 200 paintings during her life. Some famous ones are "Self portrait with monkeys" and "Diego on my Mind". These were painted during and after the divorced and remarriage!
             . After forty-seven years she died of multiple complications on July 13th, 1954. She was a sincere person to the Mexican culture.
