989) constructed a homosexual behavior inventory (HBI) along with other attitude scales to measure his subject's reactions and attitudes to homosexuality after watching explicit films. The HBI included nine questions about attitudes toward same-sex affectional behaviors and sexual activity and one question about heterosexual affection in public places. The questionnaire required on a 5-point scale that ranged from strongly agree to strongly disagree and were given two times in his study experiment, once before seeing the video, and once after. The results of the study showed that students' attitudes changed from more negative attitudes about homosexuality on the pre-test, to significantly more positive attitudes on the post-test.
             Regan (1999) used naturalistic observation to investigate whether public touching behavior differed as a function of the interactants' race or ethnicity. They found some support for the notion that interactants from "contact" cultures, e.g. Latin America, are more contact prone than those from "non-contact" cultures, e.g. Asia. Specifically, Latino male-female subjects were more likely to embrace while walking in public, than Asian male-female subjects.
