             God not only gave commands to the man regarding marriage, He also gave instruction to the woman. The wife also plays an important role i the marriage relationship. Wives are to be subject to their husbands as they are to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22). Many people today take this out of context and treat it as if the wife is to do all that her husband says, no matter what it may be. The thing most people are forgetting is that the husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church, therefore, he would never ask her to do anything that is unreasonable, or anything she would not want to do willingly. If a husband is treating his wife with the love and respect he is commanded to, she will have no problem doing what he asks of her. A woman is also to respect her husband (Ephesians 5:33). This too should not be an unbearable commandment. If a husband is treating his wife with the respect that Christ gave the church, her respect for him should come naturally. Both husband and wife ar!
