Cause and Effect of a Sucessful Basket Ball Team
I attended Leverett's Chapel High School where I was a member of the basketball team.
Our basketball team made it to the area playoffs two years in a row. Our team was successful
because we had dedicated and talented players, a dedicated coach, and awesome fans.
The players on our team were extremely dedicated, no one missed practice unless they had
a doctor's appointment or terribly sick. So we didn't have to worry about who was going to
show up and who wasn't we could always depend on each other to be there. We also had an
extremely talented team, we had played together since sixth grade so we knew each others every
move. We didn't have just one or two players that were good we had five great players. We
were also not playing for our own benefit we were playing for the good of the team. Opposing
teams could contain one player but couldn't shut down the whole team.
Our team was extremely lucky to have a dedicated coach. She was always there for us
when we needed her rather it was as a coach or friend. She wanted us to succeed, and she
sacrificed time with her family for our benefit. As long as we wanted to stay after practice she
would stay and help us no matter how late it was. While other coaches wanted to practice just
during the class period and the get home to their families or take care of personal business. She
also made sure that we were excelling in our class room work so that we would be successful
Last but not least we had awesome fans that supported our every move. Most teams
when they had an away game might have only one or two parents that attended the
game, but that was not our case. It didn't matter where our game was our bleachers were
packed. They supported us weather we won or lost it didn't matter to them.
