If I could change 3 things in Baseball the first would be the use of Aluminum bats.
The batters will be given the most up to date technologized bats so their homeruns will be
deeper. Fans dig the longball and this would definitely sell seats. The things I would need
to do to get this changed is talk with players and convince them that this is going to be
good for the game. I would then have to get it approved form certain officials. This
wouldn't be easy, but a good bug in a few head honchos ears would set it off. Former
players and enthusiasts of baseball would say that it takes away from the heritage. Who
If I could change one thing about football it would be at the college level. I would
put in a rule that gives kickers the option to kick off a one inch block or the ground. In
High school a two inch block is used. And often times the change from tee to ground kills
their potential. It would help kickers from the get go. Therefore allowing room for
longer kicks. I would have to get this approved by the NCAA and with the backing of
other kickers and coaches this would be a success. Those that didn't agree with it would
probably be the same people that implemented it in 1991.
If I could change one thing about college baseball it would be the pitching mound
being closer to the plate. The pitchers would wear protective gear. Fans would dig it
because the balls would come a lot faster and they would be hit a lot farther. I would have
to go before the baseball committees and get backing from coaches and players. Those
who opposed it would be once again historians of the game.
