Don Bosco

             There are a lot of things, if you want become fully human and live The Virtues, that you must do. Few people can do it, but Don Bosco was an exception. He flaunted a fully human life. As a priest and follower of God he showed people how to walk the path to God. During Don Bosco's life he did a lot of things for God. He built churches, helped little kids out of bad jobs, and got more priests. Also during his life he lived a lot of The Virtues. Don Bosco lived Faith, Love, Courage, Compassion, and Reverence for Human Life.
             First, Don Bosco had some hard times as a priest and a follower of God. Always though, he showed his faith and never gave up. During the movie in class we saw, he never gave up, like when the business people bought out his church and he had to get a new one. He got an old farmer's house and held mass there. He showed faith by letting God help him find a place. He didn't think he would find one but he trusted God to lead him to his new church.
             Secondly, Don Bosco wanted everything for the boys, so he cared for them. He showed a lot of love for them by caring for them. He gave them a moderate job plus a room and food. He took the boys to mass and looked after each one. He accepted reconciliation from them too. He had so little money, but still he thrived and helped the boys have a future to look forward to.
             Next, Don Bosco had a lot of problems during the age when he was living. He needed courage and he definitely had that! When an assassination attempt was made on Don Bosco's life, a dog came out and rescued him. Don said, "it was a miracle". So then, Don forgave the man for trying to kill him and asked him why he did it. The assassin said, "I need the money". It was a lot of courage on Don Bosco's part to forgive a man that might have killed him.
