             After reading Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" from The Pioneer, I would translate the text into a blockbuster dramatic horror movie. The first person narrative would serve well as a voice over narration for the film. For the nervous yet eccentric main character, I would cast Woody Allen. As for the old man with the vulture eye, I would cast Christopher Walken.
             The film would begin with Allen talking into a microphone. The camera would focus directly on his face. Slowly panning out, the camera would reveal Allen in a straight jacket in the psychiatric ward. The lighting for the scene would be very bright and institutional. While Allen describes his relationship with the old man, the camera would switch between Allen and the listening psychiatrist. The next scene would begin with Allen in front of the old man's house. The shot would begin wide in order to show the entire house and then the camera would move in closer leaving just the door in the frame. The scene would be very dark and mysterious. As Allen turns the latch of the door, the camera would focus in on just his hand. The next angle would be from inside the house and would begin all dark. The camera would focus in on Allen's head protruding inside the house. The scene would then focus in on Allen's hand undoing the lantern. The next angle would be from behind the lantern as to show the beam hitting Walken's sleeping evil eye. After showing a close-up of Allen's triumphant face, the scene would switch back to the psych ward. Allen would then continue his conversation with doctor explaining the power that he felt. The next scene would repeat the movements into the dark house. The camera would focus on Allen's hands about to open the lantern when the angle switches to a startled Walken. The scene would be dark yet light enough to see the character's face. The camera angles would then rapidly switch...
