             Children often watch shows that deal with violence on a childish make-believe basis. For instance, Power Rangers is a commonly viewed program by many young children. This television program aimed at children "...is the most violent program ever produced for young children, averaging 200 acts of violence per hour." Studies have been done on such shows, with heart-breaking results. "Children committed seven times as many acts of aggression in play after viewing one episode of the Power Rangers show." This shows that children who watch such programs often imitate what they have viewed. One child "...wanted to be 'just like the stunt men on TV.' After he asked two friends to douse him repeatedly with flammable liquids and set him on fire with a match, the boy learned a searing lesson..."(Medved 28-30). With all the spine tingling results, Hollywood still produces such garbage.
             Even video games have changed. Video games did consist of challenges for the whole family, such as Frogger, Space Invaders, etc. Now video games are drenched with blood and gore. The masses now point their finger towards video games, as well as TV, as a major cause of violence. Many of Hollywood's expensive lawyers claim that video games and the like are a way to relieve stress or vent built up rage.
