Religion is a subject that has never and will never be completely agreed upon by society. With countless different religions flourishing in the world, each with infinitely differing beliefs, this is far from surprising. Because of these innumerable differences between religions, many things have become unjustly controversial. This wide variety of subjects includes homosexuality, music and war.
             Because of supposedly anti-homosexual verses in the Bible, many Christians believe that homosexuality is immoral and against God. This belief has caused an extreme amount of conflict throughout the ages. Homosexuals are denied many rights and privileges (such as legal marriage and adoption) and are regarded by much of society as disgusting or intolerable. Many homosexuals have been attacked based solely on their sexual orientation. If there weren't religious zealots telling the world that "God Hates Fags!" this entire problem would not exist, and living would be less of a struggle for homosexuals.
             In the world of music, many artists are censored because of their "anti-(insert religion here)" lyrics. Many believe that this goes against a citizen's constitutional rights. These conflicting attitudes provide for endless arguments and never-ending bickering. Once again, without the difference of religious opinion, all of those people could go about worrying over actually important things.
             The Ten Commandments very clearly state that to kill a human being is wrong. The Bible also states that murder is unacceptable in any circumstance, with apparently no ifs, ands or buts remotely involved. But in war, men who have killed are regarded by their country as heroes, for they were only defending a country in God's name. Hmm. There is not much more to be say about that, except for that the ridiculous amount of hypocrisy here is truly astounding.
