Mobydick

Moby dick was a cool book and movie with a lot of symbols for instants at the beginning of the movie when the preacher is talking about Joanna and the wale. It compares Joanna to Ishmael more than Joanna and Captain Ahab I think because if you think about it the wale spared Joanna life and Ishmael is the only one who survived. How the preacher is talking about a storm and how Joanna was thrown over and how the great wale sunk his ivery teeth around him and how Joanna was good so god spared him just like god spared Ishmael. When they first ship of and Ishmael burns his hand on the rope and then they pour alcohol on them and make him drink some of the alcohol it was almost as if they were anisheating Ishmael. Then Ahab tells Starbucks that he is a prophet so he does not have to answer to any one and went astray just like joanna did he went away from the lord and so he was punished and so will captain Ahab. When that guy falls from the crows nest and dies I saw it as a warning that death will come to them all soon. Then when pip gets lost and they find and get him back on the ship and he wigs out and is never the same for the rest of the trip. The funny thing is nothing bad starts to happen until they see the white wale and start try to kill it. As Queequeg said he is bad magic. Captain Ahab's obsession with the wale is like one of those to a schoolboy for a piece of candy and he will do anything to get the whale and at any cost to get the great white whale. Th...
