Abortion

             Abortion is a big deal in America today. There are a lot of people that don't agree with taking a life for what ever reason, though there are some that think that abortion is the right thing to do depending on the situation. There are many arguments on when a baby is developed.
             The definition of abortion is the termination of pregnancy, before birth, resulting, or accompanied by, the death of the fetus. Pregnancy is set in three trimesters. I feel that an abortion during the first trimester is ok, but after that is where I have a problem with it. As you can tell I am pro-choice. I think it is totally up to the mother whatever she wants to do. I believe that the fetus is only a potential human being until it is viable. Although there are the pro-life people that think that the fetus has the legal right to life from the moment the egg and sperm unite.
             For many people, the lines between pro-choice and pro-life are blurred and the issue is far less polarized. Many women who consider themselves pro-life supporters are mainly concerned about possible threats to reproductive rights and the danger of allowing the government to decide what medical options are available to them. Similarly, there are many pro-choice individuals that are deeply saddened by the act of abortion and seek to minimize its use through more education about, and the use of birth control.
             I think that there are certain situations on having an abortion done. If the pregnancy is going to cause a health problem for the mother, if the fetus has serious abnormalities, if one is raped and gets pregnant and also a result in incest reported pregnancy. I don't think abortion is right for reasons such as if it was an accident, if the mother was financially unable to have a baby, or if the mother just doesn't want it.
